WORLD PEACE
Work of League of Nations GREATEST CRUSADE Appeal by Prince of Wales By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. October 31, 9.5 p.m.) London, October 31. A thousand guests attended the League of Nations banquet at the Guildhall to meet the Prince of Wales. It was one of the most remarkable gatherings of the season, representing, as the Prince of Wales said, one quarter of the human race who had solved the question under the British Crown of disarmament, and wanted the rest of the world to follow their example. Messrs Brennan, Moloney, Forbes and Sir Thomas Sidey and their wives, represented Australia and New Zealand. Viscount Cecil presided and regretted the absence from the chair of Lord Grey, who was suffering from renewed eyesight trouble. The Prince of Wales made a telling appeal on behalf of the propaganda of the League of Nations. He described it as a crusade on behalf of world peace, which was the greatest crusade of all. An immediate response to the appeal was a gift of £5OOO from Sir Louis Baron. \
