Ambulance Art Union SERVICE TO PUBLIC ‘Permanent Home Assured* Proceeds from the Free Ambulance Art Union, which was drawn at the Town Hall Concert Chamber Inst evening, are in he neighbourhood of £14,200, according to an announcement made by the president of the organisation, Mr. C. J. B. Norwood, when the drawing had concluded.
“Through this art union,” said Mr. Norwood, “I can tell you that the Free Ambulance is assured of a permanent home. If there has ever been an art .union which has returned really good service to the public, it has been the Free Ambulance Art Union. I am quite sure that even those who have won no prizes will not regret the purchase of a ticket." Mr. Norwood complimented the secretary, Mr. Neil McArthur, on the art union’s success, and thanked all who had assisted by purchasing tickets.
