TEVIOTDALE BURNED

Mr. Greenwood’s Loss

By Telegraph.—Press Association.

Christchurch, October 17.

The picturesque Teviotdale homestead near Amberley, owned by Mr. G. D. Greenwood, was destroyed by fire List night. The valuable furniture was lost, but all the racing cups were saved. The homestead was an old singlestory building, with a portion built in 1867, when the run was purchased. It is understood that both Mr. G. D. Greenwood and his son were in the house when the fire started, and had narrow escapes.
