TREASURE TROVE INQUEST

An inquest has been held on treasure trove found by workmen engaged in the construction of a new road bo tween Ynys-Las and Taliesin, near Aberystwyth. The treasure consists of about thirty coins about the size of half-a-crown.

The coins are of solid gold, and experts pronounce them to be nobles of the time of Edward HL, minted to oemmemorate the victory of the English over the French in the naval battle of Sluya.
