OUR SOLDIERS ABROAD

A very large number of British soldiers are stationed abroad. Britain does not maintain a very big army, the total strength being about 190,000 men. Where are they; what do we do with them? According to the latest return there are 84,000 abroad. The soldiers overseas are distributed as follow: India 60,000, Egypt 10,000, so that these two places have nearly all of them. The remaining 14,000 are at Malta 5000, Gibraltar 3000, China 4000, and Malaya 2000.
