LIFE-SAVING
Lyall Bay Club Activities An active year for the Lyall Bay Surf and Life-Saving Club unfortunately resulted In a financial loss. The report submitted at the annual meeting recently attributed the deficiency to the bad weather for the Christmas gala and to the cost of sending a team to the New Zealand championships at Greymouth. The Income last year was £5O and the expenditure was £7O. Several rescues are recorded to the credit of the club. The membership Is 84, and a pleasing gain in junior members is repotted.
