GOOD SWIMMING YEAR

Palmerston North, October 16.

The first annual meeting of the Terrace End Swimming Club was held to-night, Sir. W. C. Collier presiding.The annual report, which was adopted, showed that tlie club had experienced a very successful year, and had finished with a credit balance of £l4. This was thought particularly encouraging, as other older clubs had experienced a loss. The following officers were elected:— Patron, Mr. J. A. Nasi}, M.P.; president, Mr. A. R. McKegg; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. B. Cameron, S. H. Steel, Dr. Hunter Will, S. W. Rapley, W. R. Tillick, R. 11. Spencer, L. Pierard, A. D. Campbell, R. Belfit and Miss Chapman; secretary and treasurer, Mr. W. Schwarz; club captain, Mr. D. C. Pryor; vice-captain, Mr. L. Smith; women’s vice-captain, Miss J. Pierard; executive committee, Messrs. W. C. Collier, A. W. Thompson, J. Arthur, J. Christmas, L. Robinson; G. G. Priest, W. Macpherson, G. Haining, and S. Riddell and Miss Robinson; handicappers, Messrs. A. W. Schwarz and A. J. Arthur.
