ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

Wellington Corps Activities

The necessity for accommodation for St. John Ambulance workers at the various seaside resorts was discussed at the monthly meeting of the Wellington Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade this week.

Arrangements were made for members to assist in the sale of roses on Friday, November 7. The annual district competitions are to be held on November 15 at the Drill Hall, Buckle Street. It was decided, on the suggestion of Mrs. Gaby, lady corps superintendent, that members subscribe to the cancer fund through their superintendents, and total amount be given as from the Wellington corps. Next Monday there will be a lecture by a prominent member of the fire brigade on “Fire Prevention and Fire Extinction.” During the evening several demonstrations of first aid will be given by the members of St. John Ambulance. The lecture and demonstration will be open to the public.
