OBITUARY

.Mrs. R. R. Cameron A respected resident of Wellington, Mrs. R. R. Cameron, passed away at Island Bay on Saturday. The late Mrs. Cameron, who was born at Berwick on Tweed, Scotland, on November , 1853, arrived in Dunedin by the ship Robert Henderson, in October, 1860. After residing in Palmerston (Otago) for some years, where her husband was engaged in the coaching business to the Naseby diggings, Mrs. Cameron and family afterward lived at Miller’s Flat, Island Block, and Gore, finally removing to Wellington some twentyseven years ago. Mrs. Cameron's husband predeceased her about two years ago. Mrs. Cameron leaves a family of four sons and two daughters, Messrs. E. R. Cameron (Blenheim), H. V. Cameron (Marton), J. G. Cameron, Postmaster (Morrinsville), A. C. Cameron, supervisor postal branch (Masterton), and Mesdames J. G. Marshall and J. K. Wilson (Wellington), also twenty grandchildren. Mrs. A. Smith The death occurred suddenly at her residence, Wanganui, of Mrs. A. Smith, reports a “Dominion” Special Service message. The late Mrs. Smith, who was a daughter of the late Mr. Frank Baldwin, of Turakina Valley, wa.- born in Wanganui some 71 years ago, and had lived there all her life. She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. A. Burney, Mrs. J. Quarterman, and Mrs. F. Lind; two sons (Charles C. and A. M. Smith), besides eighteen grandchildren.
