COUNTY CLERK IN TROUBLE
Alleged Theft of Funds

Gilbert Owen Ellis, aged 26, formerly Collingwood county clerk, who gave himself up to the police at Perth, Western Australia, and was brought back to Nelson and charged with. the theft of £846 from the county, pleaded not guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial.
