Man Imprisoned

Palmerston North, October 9. Charged with being idle and disorderly, in that he had insufficient visible means of support, Maurice Murray, aged 50, appeared in the Magistrate’s Court this morning before Messrs. Eliott and Bosworth, J.P.’s, and was sentenced to thirty days’ imprisonment. Constable Bush said that in company with Constable Watt, he visited the railway station and found Murray sleeping in one of the carriages. Accused had first answered to the name of Martin, and then later Murray. He had not worked for three weeks.
