Charge Against a Tailor (Ree. August 26, 8 p.m.) Sydney, August 26. The sequel to the alleged preparations to set fire to a building in Bathurst Street, reported yesterday, was the arrest of Solomon Specterman, a tailor, 27 years of age, who was charged in the Police Court with maliciously attempting to set fire to the premises of McAlister Bros. The police detailed an elaborate plan, ostensibly to burn the premises. Specterman was remanded to September 8. Bail of £lOOO was allowed.
