Qualifying Rounds

The Rotorua open amateur golf championship meeting opened this morning in fine weather conditions. The entries were limited to eighty. Twenty clubs are represented. The course is in splendid condition, Sixteen to qualify are:—Rex George (147), Bransden (148), O’Callaghan (149). Phimley and Hoeken (152). Troutbeck and 11. Lusk (153), Parata and Buddle (154), Bartleet (155). M. Puncap. Dr. Howden. C. H. Howden Menzies. and Wells (156). Harrison. Rainger. 8. E. Carr, and M. Carr (157). tied for sixteenth place, and 8. E. Carr won the draw.
