“The Terrible Turk” Again Local wrestling enthusiasts, will have an opportunity of seeing still another first-rate grapplcr in action for the first time at the Town Hall this evening, when the special match between Tom Ray and Kala Pasha (“The Terrible Turk”) is due to take place. Kala Pasha, through his sensational victory over Tom Alley last week, made a brilliantly successful New Zealand debut. He was a much-heralded Contestant, but was; at the same time, more or less an unknown quantity. Coming to light right from the first gong, he appealed to the record audience as a most (longerons opponent for anyone—even for Tom Alley. The story of his victory has been told now for a week. " A particularly large amount of interest attaches itself to the clash which takes place this evening between .the Turk and Tom Ray (“The Man with a Thousand Holds”). So many new holds and manoeuvres were exploited by Pasha in last week’s match that locql enthusiasts are of the opinion that Rav will require a few more holds to add to the large stock he is already credited with. It will be his first appearance here. For to-night’s match he will be down to 12st. 71b., nnd the contest will be much evener on. > the score of weight. It will resolve itself into a display of brilliant and probably most spectacular wrestling, as both men arp masters of the art and show amazing versatility in the styles.they employ.
