Fast Hockey at Hutt KARORI RETAINS LEAD The senior “A” and senior “B” hockey competitions were continued on Saturday. A fairly fast hut otherwise uninteresting game was played at Lower Hutt between Hutt aud Y.M.GX, the game ending without a goal being scored by either team. . . Karori maintained its position as leader of the senior "A” championship table by beating Wellington, and Wesley beat 'Varsity by 4 goals to 3. , In the senior “B” section Hutt A drew with 'Varsity “A,” and Karori with Training College. Robb, Roberts K. Perrin and Jeromson scored for Karori. and just before the end of the game Hami - on scored for Wellington. Messrs W. A. Scott and W. Keys were the referees. Wesley Beats ’Varsity Plaving at Karori Park Wesley beat 'Varsity by 4 goals to 3 in a fast game. Scorers for Wesley were Freethy (2), Hookham and Giles, and Simpson, Paul, nnd Read scored for 'Varsity. Mr. J. W. Russell was the referee. Hutt B’s Easy Win In a one-sided game, played at Lower Hutt Receration Ground, Hutt B beat Huia by 9 goals to 2. The following scored for Hutt. Phillips VVcst (•<). Smith (2); McDonald and King.
