A WARTIME ADVENTURE.

The name of my favourite book is “The Fight for Constantinople.” The author is P, F, Westerman. I think it is a good book, because it is about British destroyers clearing the Dardanelles of mines, so that our Anzacs could be lauded near Constantinople, nud would not have to fight so much. The story is chiefly of a sub-lieutenant and a midshipman. fighting for King and country. Both risk their lives many times in trying to stive each other, even in the thick of tight. They were captured, aud escaped prison by taking German officers’ uniforms and travelling by night and resting by day. They captured a submarine. and when on board their ship ugiiin they were awarded the D.S.O. The book is a good one, and very exciting. Sometimes they were fighting on the verge of death, but struggled through at last. Their mimes were Dick Crosthwaite and Mr. Fnruwortb. —From Frances Winton. Mnsterton.
