Meteorological Office, Wellington, Thursday, July 24, 1930, 4 p.m. A rather deep low-pressure wave has been crossing the Dominion to-day, but a fairly intense anti-cyclone is advancing across the Tasman sea. Winds becoming southerly generally and strong to gale force.
Seas becoming rough generally in New Zealand waters. Strong southerly winds and rough seas in the Eastern Tasman Sea. Weather cold, changeable and squally generally, with ,n districts, and heavy on parts of the East Coast; with hall m Snow on the high country and also on parts of the low levels or the South Island.
