SHOT BY GANGSTERS
Radio Commentator Detroit, July 23. Gerald Buckley, a radio political commentator, was assassinated by a trio of gunmen shortly after announcing that the voters bad removed from his office the Mayor of Detroit, Charles Bowles, who was charged with gang alliances. The murder, which Is the climax of three weeks’ gangster killings, has precipitated an extensive drive against the Detroit underworld.
