Wilkinson, M.A., of Wadestown, has been appointed Moderator of the Wellington Presbytery for the ensuing six months. , Mr. Alexander Cormack Jessep was yesterday admitted in the Supreme Court by the Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers) as a barrister and solicitor, on the motion of Mr. White. Mr. Neill Thomas Gillespie was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in the Supreme Court yesterday by the Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers), on the motion of Mr. Barrett Mr. Walter Osborn, of Ferguson and Osborn, will leave on a health-recruit-ing trip to Honolulu on the next outward trip of the Aorangi. He will be accompanied by Mrs. Osborn. Mr. E. Bold, Wellington, has been appointed commissioner to hold an inquiry regarding the construction of a new road traffic bridge over the Whau Creek, Avondale, Auckland, and to ascertain the proportion of cost payable by the eight adjacent local bodies. Mr. R. Hipkins, who for over seven years has been art master of the Napier Technical School, this week join ed the art staff of the Wellington Technical College. Mr. Hipkins came originally from Staffordshire, England, and gained much of his varied experience in painting and the art crafts in the Old Country.
