Meteorological Office,'Wellington, June 13, 1930, 4 p.m. An intense anti-cyclone still covers the Tasman Sea. Pressure is still low, however, to the east of New Zealand. An Intense cyclone was centred this morning east of the Kermadecs. Winds still south-west to southerly; strong to gale force all along the East Coast; moderate to strong north of Farewell Spit and moderate south of it Decreasing generally to-morrow. Seas rough with a heavy swell south of East Cape; rough north of Cape Egmont; elsewhere moderate to rather rough. Fresh southerly wiqds and rather rough, but moderating seas In the Eastern Tasman Sea. Weather still squally and changeable along all the East Coast and north of Auckland, with passing showers at times; fine in western districts and later Improving generally. Cold night with many frosts.
