Death of “Deadwood Dick.”—An article appearing on this page announces the death of “Deadwood Dick,” who Is better known to the generation of "oldsters” than he Is to the youngsters of to-day. Who among we "oldsters” has not thrilled at the recital of the doughty deeds of this famous plainsman, dead shot and dare-devil? “Deadwood Dick,” contrary to general belief, was not a fictional character but a real flesh and blood hero who has been described by a contemporary as one of the “finest, gentlest men you could ever meet.”
