FREIGHT FREE. MEYER LEMON A RECENT discovery from North China named in hour of the late Frank Meyer, Botanical Explorer, of U.S.A. Dept, of Agriculture. This is undoubtedly the most wonderful lemon ever introduced for hardiness, early fruiting, and perfect shaped fruit. Trees bear very young, and often in nursery rows they are a sight to behold, with fruit from end to end, bunches carrying from six to ten lemons; in fact, no tree is too small to bear. The fruit in shape resembles the Tahitian lime, but is larger ■with a smooth glossy skin of a deep golden yellow colour. It has been tried out with great success in districts where lemon growing was hitherto unknown and thrives very well in the Wairarapa district. Price from 6/6 to 10/0. BALL 8R05.,, EAST COAST NURSERIES, MASTERTON. COPPER BEECH CTURDY TREES, 20in.. 10/6 each; O postage paid, cash with order. ORIENTAL POPPIES, 11 choice named varieties, 15/- per dozen.
