BANK SHARES ARE PROFITABLE. Shares which rest on money controlled by competent bankers and experienced business men have a security and freedom from risk that is not often found In commercial concerns. Yet bank shares are among the most profitable in the market. The average dividend paid by the six banks operating in New Zealand is over 13 per cent. For the first time in forty years, bank shares are available at Par to investors. The Australian and New Zealand Banking Corporation, Ltd., has been formed to meet the demand for additional banking facilities which undoubtedly exists, and Investors have the unique opportunity of acquiring bank shares without paying the usual heavy premium. As was to be expected, “A. & N.Z.” Bank Shares at par met with an enthusiastic response from the public, with the result that the minimum of 400,000 £1 shares was quickly applied for, and the new bank has gone to allotment. A further number of shares is still available at Par, and investors are advised to apply early for a parcel. Terms of payment are exceptionally easy, being spread over at least three years.
