Moslem and Hindu Clashes POLICE ATTACKED Mob Fired On By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. (Rec. June 12, 7.5 p.m.) DeUli, June 11. Four hundred were injured as a result of serious clashes between Hindus and Moslems in Baroda City and 'the town of Katadwanj, in Baroda State. The trouble started over the stoning of a Moslem arc during a Mohurrum festival procession, and the incensed Moslems attacked Hindus, and also police whose protection the Hindus sought. The procession dispersed, but Moslems continued to attack Hindus, and burned several of their houses. Armed police are now guarding Baroda City. Further clashes between Moslems and Hindus occurred in Caeca, Eastern Bengal, the scene of recent riots, and in retaliation for the burning of their houses, Moslems stoned Hindus, and fierce fighting ensued. The fighting was quelled with difiiculty by the police. An infuriated mob of thousands, armed with spears and daggers, attacked a party of police in a village near Calcutta last night. The police opened fire, killing one and injuring many.
