Husband Assaults Wife By Telegraph.—Press Association. ' Dunedin, June 12. Hendry Kearns, charged with assaulting his wife, was sentenced to a month s imprisonment. The complainant stated that her bus- • band picked up a table knife and threw it at her, cutting her hand and thumb. The police stated that the accused on being arrested became violent, and kicked a constable in the stomach and legs. The accused was under the influence of liquor.
