LOWER HUTT AFFAIRS

Civic Association JJJeeting The annual meeting of the Lower Hutt Civic Association was held in the Hutt Central Schoolroom, the president, Mr. C. Strong, presiding. The work of the past year was reviewed, the president congratulating the association on the measure of success secured, and further expressed hope that it would continue its endeavour to prove useful to the community. The election of officers for the year 1930-31 resulted as follows: —President, Mr. C. Strong; vice-presidents, Messrs. T. E. Shiel and J. Lee; hon. treasurer, Mr, J. Belcher; hon. secretary, Mr. G. W. Gray; auditors, Messrs. J. W. Jones and J. Stonehouse.
