Jones, chairman of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board, has secured a renewal of the contract with the New Zealand Shipping Company, the Shaw, Savill, and the Commonwealth and Dominion lines to carry meat for three years at reduced rates of freight The saving will amount to £50,000 a year. The New Zealand Dairy Produce Board has obtained a similar renewal contract for butter and cheese. The saving in this case will amount to £35,000 a year.
