BRITISH OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP RECORD ENTRY ("Times” Cables) (Rec. June 10, 7 p.m.). London, June 10. A record entry of 296 for the British open golf championship, starting at Hoylake on June 16, includes L. M. MacPherson, of the Royal Melbourne Club, sixteen Americans, including Jones, and eight Frenchmen. Belgium, Germany, Canada, Spain, Greece and South Africa also are represented.
