CYCLING DISPUTE

STILL ANOTHER TURN Fresh developments in the amateur cycling dispute take place every week. The latest of these is a meeting of cyclists which was presided over on Thursday evening by Mr. 11. D. Bennett, patron ot the Port Nicholson Amateur Road Cycling Club. After considerable discusison it is said to have been agreed upon unanimously that a notice of motion be served on the secretary of the Port Nicholson club for discussion nt its annual meeting on April 29 as follows: “That, as the Port Nicholson Amateur Road Cycling Club has already, at a special extraordinary general meeting, approved of the movement to form a separnte cycling controlling body for New Zealand, this club definitely takes steps accordingly, and forthwith cancels its affiliation with the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association.” Tlie notice of motion is stated to have been signed by tlie following: A. White. J. A. Foote. W. T. Bray, Doug. Evans. R. Ericson, F. A. Newman, G. Stnverley. C. Tasker, J. G. Wyeth, Stan. Wright, C. Flett. H. Scarfe, J. Carswell, R. Evans, H. D. Bennett.
