FEAR OF PSITTACOSIS
PARROTS BANNED FROM AMERICAN WARSHIPS Washington, March 20. Owing to the prevalence of parrot fever, the Secretary of the United States Navy, Mr. C. F. Adams, has issued an order that all parrots on warships are to be discharged from the service. The disease, psittacosis, has been traced to. South American parrots. Cases have been reported from Europe as well as America.
