TWO MORE ’PLANES

CANTERBURY AERO CLUB FIFTEEN SOLO PUPILS Dominion Special Service. Christchurch, March 31. The committee of the Canterbury Aero Club decided to-night to purchase a new Moth aeroplane, and to apply to the Government for another, bringing the number of its machines to four. Instructor J. C. Mercer reported that 15 pupils had flown solo, and 13 gained licenses in the month. He hoped to have four or five more solo flyers. It was reported that the membership was 711, and outstanding fees were only £l9/19/-. Mr. D. E. Grigg was appointed to represent Jhe club in the competition for the “Herald” Cup to be held at Auckland.
