LOWER GRADE RESULTS Stop Out defeated University in the Junior D grade competition on Saturday by an innings' and 56 runs. Stop out scored 271* Sandholm 59 Hitchen 46, W. Mclvor 36, Green 21 not out. J. McIver 19, Kemp 17. and Power 15. University totalled 159 in their first innings (Risk 70, Deny 36 not out), and 56 in their second knock (Meale 23). , Bowling for Stop Out, Kenlp took seven wickets for 22 runs, llitchen six for 64. and Sandholm three for 30. JUNIOR GAMES In the Junior B grade Marist obtained an eight-point win over Midland, thus winning the championship with an undefeated record. Midland compiled 302 (Morgan 146, Watson 45, and Mahoney 36) and 138 (O’Neill 59 not out, and Mahoney 22). Marist replied with 322 for two wickets (Hepburn 139, Duffy 111 not out, and Cuming 24) and 131 for four wickets, compiled in forty minutes (Randall 46. Brennan 33. Cudby 17 not out. and Gamble 17). Bowling for Midland. Hatch took two for 52. Aspin one for 8. Walker one for 15. For Marist, Davies three for 16, Day two for 32 and three for 32, Cudby three for 48. JUNIOR A COMPETITION In an exciting match between Hutt and Johnsonville in the Junior A competition on Saturday Hutt secured an .outright win by two runs. Hutt scored 129 and 144, and Johnsonville 121 and 150. In' Hutt’s second innings Pegler scored 51 and McSherry 14. In Johnsonville’s second knock Moore hit up 40, Watson 38, Symonds 16, and G. Moore 15. Bowling for Hutt, Lockett secured four wickets for 25, Pegler three for 14, NeaZor one for 43. Webster one for 33, and Judd one for 19. THIRD GRADE B CHAMPIONSHIP.
