PALESTINE CONTROL
TIME NOT RIPE FOR ZIONISTS REPORT OF COMMISSION (Rec. March 10, 7.5 p.m.) London, March 10. The “Daily News” states that it is understood that the Palestine commission, which will shortly make its report, will recommend that a wider interpretation be given to the Balfour Declaration regarding the Jewish national home. The commission takes the view that the time is not ripe for Zionists to assume control of Palestine. The findings probably will be generally in favour of the Arabs, and may raise the whole question of the future of the British mandate. Mr. H. Snell, Labour member of the commission, reported that he had made reservations, otherwise the recommendations were unanimous.
