SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY

Thursday’s concert at the Sailors’ Friend Society was ih the hands of Miss V. Bbseley, who provided liberal fare for her guests. The Hems wer<s received with loud applause, and demands for encores. The performers were the Madames Beeves and Miller, the Misses Roache, V. Boseley, Laurel Duff, and Messrs. 11. Matthews, Appleby. Miss V. Boseley was at the piano. Light refreshments were dispensed in an interval. The competition afforded much pleasure to the audience, and the prizes, which came from Hastings, went to the Port Victor, Karanga, and .Tamaroa.
