BOXING AT NEW PLYMOUTH

A rather novel departure from what is generally looked upon as an indoor sport, will lie made in connection with tile boxing match between Sarron and Donovan, to take place at New Plymouth on the afternoon of March 15. The contest will lie staged in the open air and ideal surroundings. The spot selected is particularly suitable in respect of giving patrons an exceptional view of tho proceedings. The beauty of the natural bush provides a setting in pleasant contrast to that usually obtaining in indoor contests. To curtail travelling time and bring this outstanding fight within the reach of Wellington followers of the art, the Railway Department lias arranged a special train, with sleeper, to leave 'Wellington at 10.2 a p.m. on the I'Tiday evening. This train will arrive in New Plymouth in time for breakfast the following morning. The return fare will be half ordinary rates. Those wJio desire to visit the athletic championships nt Wanganui may use this train, the fare to the River City also being at half rate.
