AMATEUR ATHLETICS
k excellent afternoon’s sport is pronp.wd at the Hutt Recreation Ground tomorrow, where the Lower Hutt Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club are holding a meeting. The programme is a full one. The events include a special 100 metres ladies’ invitation scratch race for a cup presented by Mr. A. C. Stephenson. The field will consist of Misses J. Willson. E. Blatherwick, C. Millar. C. Edwards. E. Sharp. T. Keneli. J. Murray, and B. Jackson (Carterton). Another first-rate ladies’ event will be the Eric Riddiford Cup. an inter-club relay. Entries have been received from the best runners and cyclists in the district, including Jenkins, Fleming. A’eitch, Eastwood. AValker, Allan, Ramson, Ogg. Thompson, Campbell, Brady. Munro. Gnne, Carswell. Pearce, and Foote.
