THE MARGARET WATT ORPHAN HOMES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin. March 6. This evening’s session of the Presbyterian General Assembly was devoted to a youth demonstration. Miss Buchanan was ordained as a deaconess, and set apart for the work of travelling secretary of the Woung Women's Bible Class Union. The Rev. E. P. Blamires, Methodist Young People’s secretary, addressed the Assembly on “Continuity in Religious Education." He made a strong appeal for co-operation in the work of carrying out a complete programme of religious education, and was given a very cordial reception. In connection with tbe social service report, the Rev. Jimp Paterson, of Wanganui. intimated that the Margaret Watt Ornhan Homes would be erected shortly after the end of April. This year the approximate value of the Walt Trust would be about £BO.OOO. and it would bo administered by the minister and session of St. Paul's, Wanganui, in co-operation with the Presbyterian Social Service Association in 'Wellington.
