MORE ORCHESTRAL CONCERTS.
The annual meeting of the Wellington Musicians’ Union was held in the Trades Hall last night, Mr. W. Stevens presidTlie report slated that the membership had decreased from 281 to 220. and the balance-sheet showed that there was a satisfactory credit balance, and that the sick and benefit fund was in a buoyant condition, owing to the success of the Sunday night concerts given in the De Luxe and Majestic Theatres. The election of officers resulted :—President, Mr. Andrew Williams; vice-presi-dent, Mr. M. T. Dixon: secretary, Mr. C. T. Dalton; treasurer. Mr. A. A. Crump; committee. Messrs. W. 11. Bowman, J. J. Drew, F. Croft. S. Barrett, and L. Wilkens ; trustees, Messrs. J. H. Stephenson mid J. Garry: auditors. Messrs. W. Dunning and V. R. Brown. It was decided to hold a series of orchestral concerts similar to those presented Inst year by the combined theatre orchestras', mid a committee was appointed to make the necessary arrangements. The support: of -all playing members of the union is anticipated.
