LUGGER DELAYED BY CYCLONE

Darwin, February 24.

In a race from Gouiburn Island to Darwin to secure a doctor to combat a measles epidemic, the mision lugger was caught in a cyclone and a trip which should have taken three- days was prolonged to twelve. The crew were almost exhausted on arrival at Darwin, food supplies graving given out. The Methodist missionaries on the island r-e fighting the epidemic. Four natives have died. A doctor is being dispatched.
