PERSONAL ITEMS

The Minister Health (Hon. A. .1. Stallworthy) left last night for Auckland. He will return to Wellington on Saturday next.

The Minister of Public Works (Hon. E. A. Ransom) arrived at Auckland yesterday from 'Wellington. After welcoming the British Farmers’ Delegation to-morrow, the Minister will leave for Ihe Dargaville electorate. He is expected back in Wellington on March 10.

The Minister of Education (Hon. H. Atmore) will leave to-day for the Wairarapa, cn route to Napier. He will open schools at Martinborough, Carterton. Eketahuna and Greytown and visit various schools in the Hawke’s Bay district. He will return to Wellington on Saturday next.

The Minister of Customs (Hon. J. B. Donald) will leave Wellington tomorrow for Auckland.

The Director of Education (Mr. T. B. Strong) and the chief Inspector of Primary Schools (Mr. W. W. Bird) have left Wellington on an extended visit to the Native schools in the North Auckland district. They will be absent from headquarters for about three weeks.

Mr. W. A. Bodkin. M.P.. for Central Otago, who lias been visiting Wellington, will leave for the south to-night.

Mr. .1. T. Hogan, M.P. for Rangltikei. who has been visiting Wellington, returned to his electorate on Saturday.

The retiring-. British Ambassador at Washington (Sir Estne Howard) sail-, ed for Englund on Saturday night on thQ liner Majestic (states a Press Association message from New York).
