MAJOR G. -A. C. COWPER. Dominion Speciai Service Auckland, Februarv 6. A meeting of the creditors of Major Gerald Awdry Cadogan Cowper, formerly salesman, of Manurewa, ■ and now flying instructor, of Hamilton, was held to-day. In his statement bankrupt said that for somo time he had worked on commission as a motor salesman. He had saved £5O, which he paid as a deposit on a farm at Jlanurewn. Until his appointment with the Auckland Aero Club as instructor last year he had not been free from financial worry, and the farm property had proved a severe handicap. His liabilities amounted to £640/13/7, and his assets to £5O. He was prepared to offer a settlement of 5/- in £l. iV creditor moved that bankrupt should be asked to endeavour to pay 5/- in £l, and that the sum should be accepted in full settlement. The motion was carried.
