Southerly winds north of Cape Egmont and Napier; th fc f north and about East Cape; elsewhere north to west winds, st at times about Foveaux Strait, and freshening from Cook Strait southward. Seas rough north and east of Cape J^? r 2?g ht to and about Foveaux Strait; otherwise smooth to moderate IJght t moderate south-easterly winds in the northern Portion of the Sea, and moderate to fresh north-west to west in the r southern portion of the Eastern Tasman Sea, with smooth to moderate seas. Weather mainly fine generally, but some scattered showers about «a« Cape and in North Auckland, and later in western and far southern districts of the South Island.
