Officers mid N.C.O.’s of the Eighth Batterry. N.Z.F.A., left Palmerston North 6h Saturday for their annual course of 'milihiry training al Waipukura.u racecourse. Other ranks will assemble at Watpukurau on Tuesday. Mr. J. Cunningham, the newly-appoint-ed engineer to the Paten Borough Council, will commence his duties on February 10. Mr. Cunningham is a former employee of the council. Rev. W. Elliot, who has been for almost the last four years in charge of Knox Presbyterian Church. Gouville, Wanganui, preached his farewell sermons to large congregations yesterday at. both morning and evening services. The Rev. Elliot and Mrs. Elliot leave today for Whangarei.
