FUEL OIL AND MOTOR SPIRIT

FOUR TANKERS DUE Four big tankers, two -with fuel oil and two with bulk motor spirit, are due at Wellington in the course of the next ten days. The Union Company’s chartered tanker British Glory has reported that she will arrive in the stream at 6 o'clock this morning from San Pedro. She will later berth at the Miramar Wharf to discharge about 9000 tons of fuel oil into the company's tanks at Miramar. The same, company's tanker Otokia has also reported that she expects to arrived here next Monday with a full load of fuel oil. The Vacuum Oil Company’s tanker Plume arrived at Auckland on Saturday with bulk motor spirit for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, and is due here on Wednesday, while the AtlanticUnion Oil Company’s big electric tanker Brunswick is due at Auckland next Saturday, and at Wellington a few days later, with a full cargo of bulk motor spirit. I ANGLO-CANADIAN ARRIVES. Under charter to the G. H. Scales Company, the motor-ship Anglo-Canadian arrived in the stream at Wellington yesterday afternoon from Port Pirie. The vessel Is to load wool for Dunkirk, London, and Hull, but her loading itinerary has not yet been fixed. . TUTANEKAI’S MOVEMENTS. The Government steamer Tutanekai left Bluff on Saturday morning for the West Coast Sounds, Westport, and Wellington, and is due here about Friday week. CANADIAN HIGHLANDER IN PORT. To continue loading for New York. Boston and Halifax, the Canadian Highlander arrived at Wellington early yesterday morning from Port Chalmers, and later berthed at the Glasgow Wharf. She is to leave here again to-day for Napier and Auckland, and is to sail finally on February 8. CITY OF WELLINGTON ARRIVES. The A. and A. Line steamer City of Wellington arrived at Wellington yester-. day afternoon from New York, via Auckland and Napier, and berthed at the Pipitea Wharf, to continue discharge. She will later proceed to Lyttelton and Dunedin ta complete discharge. NORFOLK LEAVES COLON. The New Zealand Shipping Company have received cabled advice that the Norfolk arrived at the Panama Canal on January 30, and sailed from Colon later the same day for London, where she is due on February 16. The vessel left Napier on January 9. RANGITATA'S SAILING TIME. The New Zealand Shipping Company advise that their-new motor-liner Rangitata will leave Napier to-morrow for Wellington, to fill up for London, and is due here on Wednesday. The vessel has been fixed to leave here at 4 p.m. on. February 8 for Southampton and London. Passengers will embark at 3 p.m. TURAKINA IN PORT. To continue loading for London, via West Coast ports of Great Britain, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Turakina arrived at Wellington early yesterday morning from Lyttelton, and berthed at the King’s Wharf. From here the vessel proceeds to Bluff and Port Chalmers to fill up. CONSTANTINE STEAMER WITHDRAWN. It is understood that the Constantine Line’s cargo steamer Brookwood, which was to have left Los Angeles ou February 28 with Pacific Coast cargo for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, has been withdrawn, and will now proceed to the United Kingdom with wheat. The Brookwood’s withdrawal is said to be due to the absence of cargo, and as she was to have inaugurated the Constantine Line's new service to New Zealand, it seems as if this service may now be delayed for some time. TAINUI AT WELLINGTON. To complete her homeward loading, the Shaw, Savill liner, Tainui, arrived at Wellington yesterday afternoon from Bluff, and berthed at the Glasgow Wharf. The vessel is to sail finally from here on February 12 for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal. VANCOUVER MAIL SERVICE. The Aorangi arrived at Vancouver at 6 p.m. on January 30, and leaves on February 5 for Hononlulu, Suva, Auckland, and Sydney, and is due at Auckland on February The Niagara arrived at Sydney on Saturday, and leaves on February 6 for Auckland, where she is due on February 10, thence to Suva, Honolulu and Vancouver. SAN FRANCISCO MAIL SERVICE. The Tahiti, from San Francisco, arrived at Papeete on February 1, and is due at Raratonga to-morrow, at Wellington on February 10, and at Sydney on February 15. The Makura, from Sydney, via Wellington, arrived at Raratonga on February 1, and is due at Papeete to-day, and at San Francisco on February 14. PORT PIRIE REPORTED. The C. and D. fylne have received a wireless message from the Port Pirie, reporting that she will arrive at , Wanganui at noon to-day from Newcastle. The vessel is to load there, thence to Opua, Auckland, Gisborne, and Wellington. She is due here on February 22. and will sail finally from this port on February 24 for London, via the Panama Canal. LINERS COASTWISE. The Federal steamer Cumberland arrived at Dunedin on Saturday from Lyttelton to continue discharge of her Liverpool cargo. The New Zealand Shipping Company's new motor-liner. Rangitane. arrived at Auckland yesterday from Wellington to complete discharge ot her London cargo. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Rimutaka left Napier on Saturday for Waikokopu, to continue her homeward loading. The Shaw. Savill steamer. Mahana. will now sail finally from Napier to-morrow for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal. ■ The Shaw. Savill motor-shin. Coptic, will leave Dunedin to-day for Wellington to complete discharge of her London cargo, and Is due here to-morrow. The C. and D. Line motor-shin Dunedin left Wellington nt 7 a.m. nn Saturday for Auckland to complete loading for Halifax and London. The Shaw. Savill steamer Herminius left Port Chalmers on Saturday for Wanganui, to continue her homeward loading.
