The following are eligible as free pupils:— ' ... (a) AU boys of the Eastern schools, who have obtained a free place per medium.of a proficiency certificate, or who have gained a Junior National Scholarship, or who 'have qualified by passing that .examination. •(b) All boys of the Eastern schools, who have passed into the Fifth or Sixth Standard, and whose parents have already intimated they wish their boys to enter Rongotai College. (c) All boys who have been in attendance at other - secondary schools, and whose parents have recently taken up or intend, in the near future, to take up their residence in the Eastern Suburbs. This applies also to this year’s Fifth and Sixth Standard boys of primary schools. (d) Boys who have passed the Sixth standard, but have not gained a free place, will be admitted as paying pupils. The Boarding establishment is under the direct supervision of the Headmistress. There are a few vacancies for boarders. Early application is advisable.
