NEW ZEALAND OBSTETRICAL SOCIETY

A MOTHERS CHAIR An appeal to every woman in the Wellington province is being macle by Mrs. Helen C. Lowry, Wellington provincial president of the New Zealand Obstetrical Society, in order to establish a Motheis Chair. “Having done me the honour to appoint me as your president of the Wellington province, 1 propose appealing to every woman for one shilling to help bring health and happiness into our homes,” says Mrs. Lowry.' “May tins universal effort be the key that opens the

door for health for mothers and happiness to the homes and prosperity to this fair Dominion of ours. “To each woman’s organisation I appeal for support. It only needs 7500 women to take each a £1 card of 20 one shilling coupons and collect f»om their friends. This £7500 must be collected by June, 1930, to claim the Government subsidy. It represents in Wellington province our share of the £25.000 asked from the whole of New Zealand. “Please support my appeal, as I know how well you have in the past, and let our Mothers’ Chair make New Zealand the healthiest land for mothers, as it is at present honoured throughout the world for the Plunket. Society's work among babies.” One shilling coupons are on sale from Mrs Lowry above and from Lady Buckleton, Oriental Bay, president, Wellington City.
