MASTERTON CASES. Mastertoll, January 31. Bv-law cases occupied the attention of Mr J. Millet’, in the Magistrate’s Court 'this morning. W Aitken, for riding a motor-cycle at a dangerous speed, was fined 10/- ami 10/- costs. On a charge oi riding a motor-cycle not equipped with a warning device, defendant was fined 10/- and 10/costs Action had been taken against accused on account of a collision between iiis motor-cycle and a van at the intersection of Opaki Rond and Third Street. Driving a car at a dangerous speed cost D Cameron £3 and 10/- costs. .Defendant had crossed the intersection of Had and Chapel Streets at a speed which Sergeant Dyer estimated to be between 30 and 35 miles per hour. For riding a motor-cycle without a silencer, H. J. Arcus was fined 12 and 10/- costs. Constable Smith stated that defendant’s machine on the night mentioned in the information had made a dreadful noise in Hall Street opposite the police station. . T C. O Connor. McKenzie Wilson, K. J. Garratt, G. A. White, and H. Montgomery were fined 10/- and 10/- costs each for leaving motor-vehicles unattended in Club Street. . Leaving a car unattended in Bannister Street cost W. S. F. Johnston 10/- and C. W. Jameson was fined 10/- and 10/costs for leaving a car unattended in William Street.
