NEW ZEALAND’S DEER
Sir, —In regard to the question of deer over-running New Zealand, and being wantonly destroyed, I beg-to suggest tha they could be utilised by sending them Home for consumption. I noticed a little while ago that Canada freezes thou-, sands of them. Could- we not do the same? The venison could be sold at a cheap rate, and many poor families would be glad to get it, whereas now they .canto purchase the present supply of beef and mutton. We surely can do here what Canada is doing. give employment to many here, and serve a very useful purpose. —I am, etc.,
