AERO CLUBS
FORTHCOMING CONFERENCE. A copy of the remits to be discussed at the Aero Club Conference, which Marlborough has arranged, was received in Wellington yesterday. Though Otago was the prime mover in the idea, Marlborough has apparently taken matters out of its hands, and arranged this meeting to coincide with its pageant. It is certain that Wellington will be represented at the conference, and, if possible, also at the pageant. Should this conference form a body for the control of civil aviation, similar to the Royal Aero Club in Britain, which seems likely, the headquarters will probably be in Wellington, on account of its central position and the fact that it is the seat of Government.
