WEDDING

On Tuesdav evening last the new Northland Methodist Church, decorated with hydrangeas, was the, setting tor the marriage of Kathleen Eunice, onlj ter of Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Clark, 7 Newman Terrace, to Clarence Walter, son of Mrs. and the late Mr. E. Edwards, of Christchurch. The officiating clergymen were the Revs. E. D. Patchett aud J. Dennis. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a gown of lace and georgette. Her veil, which formed the train, was of rich design, and fell from a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet. Her only ornament was a string of crystal, the gift of the bridegroom. J.hc bridesmaid, Miss Doris Carrington, was attired in a frock of delphinium blue georgette aud silver lace, with a large blue crinoline bat, and carried a bouquet to tone. The bridegroom's present was a rhinestone necklace. Mr. Kenneth Clark attended the bridegroom. Ihe service was fully choral, a compliment to the bride and bridegroom, who have been members of the choir for some years. Miss Dorothy Tighe officiated at the. organ. During the signing- of the register Mrs. Tilfred Andrews sang the solo O bong Divine.” As the. bridal party left the church their path was strewn with flowers by the members of the bride s Sunday School class. The reception was held in the Jacobean Room at Kirkcaldie and. Stains, where only relatives and a few intimate friends' were present. The mother of the bride was attired in a smart ensemble of navy georgette and lace, with hat in tones of navy and gold, and carried a bouquet of apricot roses and carnations. The bridegroom’s mother was in black satin and hat en suite, her bouquet being of mauve sweet peas and carnations. The usual toasts were ktmoured and uuring the evening Mrs. Wilfred Andrew.. and Mr. Cedric Gardiner the guests. The happy couple left later bj car, the bride wearing a smart cinnamon celanese frock with hat f su l* C ; and a Musquash coat, the, gift of her mother.
